UPS and Hong Kong Disneyland Announce Alliance
UPS Is Official Express Delivery Sponsor of Hong Kong Disneyland
(HONG KONG, April 3, 2006) - UPS (NYSE:UPS) and Hong Kong Disneyland today announced their alliance making UPS the Official Express Delivery Sponsor of Hong Kong Disneyland. Under this agreement, UPS will deliver Disney's magical memories around the world by bringing its express delivery services to the Park. UPS and Hong Kong Disneyland will develop joint marketing initiatives in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
"UPS and Hong Kong Disneyland are pairing two world-class brands - delivering exciting experiences to consumers around the region," said Ken Torok, president of UPS Asia Pacific. "The alliance demonstrates our commitment to Hong Kong and further strengthens our position as a reliable global business partner in package delivery and supply chain services."
"At Hong Kong Disneyland, we believe in creating magic not only at the park but in the heart of every guest," said Bill Ernest, executive vice president and managing director of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. "This alliance with UPS allows all our guests to have a touch of that Disney magic delivered straight to their homes."
One of the great excitements for guests visiting the Park is selecting special gifts for family and friends from the vast array of Hong Kong Disneyland merchandise. These include cuddly plush toys, brightly packaged confections and cookies, clothing and sparkling jewelry featuring beloved Disney characters.
Guests can share a touch of Disney's magical experience with their family and friends without having to leave the theme park by sending them the merchandise at the UPS Package Express Service conveniently located at the Guest Relations Centre outside the entrance gate. The package express service is also offered at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel and Disney's Hollywood Hotel.
Besides bringing the best in express delivery services to the theme park, UPS is also The Official Sponsor of the Hong Kong Disneyland Railroad Station and the Steam Train, an attraction which takes visitors on a tour of Hong Kong Disneyland. Later this year, visitors will be delighted by a special delivery to Main Street USA - a vintage UPS Ford Model T delivery truck, painted in the famous UPS brown color, which will blend in perfectly with the charming atmosphere of this living tribute to small town America at the turn of the 20th century.
