Hong Kong Disneyland Works Magic with Local Community
Cooperates with two organizations to welcome local disability groups

(HONG KONG, May 26, 2006) - Hong Kong Disneyland today announced a joint initiative with the Hong Kong Council of Social Service and the Hong Kong Joint Council for People With Disabilities to provide an enchanting experience for guests from local disability groups.

As part of this cooperation, 5,000 tickets will be distributed to the groups, along with an additional 5,000 for family members of eligible guests.

The initiative was kicked off earlier today with a visit to Hong Kong Disneyland by 60guests with disabilities and their families. They were greeted at Town Square of the Park by HKDL Managing Director Bill Ernest and guest favorite Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse before setting out for a magical day at the Park.

"Hong Kong Disneyland is proud to be part of the local community, and as such we are delighted to be working closely with the Hong Kong Council of Social Service and the Hong Kong Joint Council for People With Disabilities," said Ernest.

"Both organizations have provided tremendous support for this initiative, and we look forward to continuing our involvement with them and other community organizations in our efforts to bring magic to the lives of all our guests."

For this program, Hong Kong Disneyland will welcome approximately 400 eligible guests each day between May 27 and June 23. The Hong Kong Council of Social Service is providing a central point of contact for 120 member rehabilitation and disability organizations to register their visit dates, and will help distribute pre-printed Park tickets along with Park maps, disability guides and buy-one-get-one-free meal coupons to all guests prior to their visits.

Like all Disney theme parks, Hong Kong Disneyland is designed to address the needs of its guests wherever possible. From the time of the Parkˇ¦s construction, management have regularly listened to and incorporated comments from various interest groups in order to ensure that guest visits are enjoyable and barrier-free. Guests with disabilities are catered for with a number of facilities including tactile paths, listening devices and even sign language service for live entertainment shows.

The program for the disability groups is an important initiative of Hong Kong Disneyland in reaching out to the local community. Hong Kong Disneyland will continue to explore ways to welcome guests from different backgrounds and listen to their suggestions on how to facilitate guest experience.
