Hong Kong Disneyland Hotels Celebrate A Magical Christmas Enticing Guests with Delightful Winter Dining Menus and Fun-filled Activities
(HONG KONG, November 29, 2006) - This Christmas, the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort presents its tantalizing new array of festive winter dining menus, which are available throughout A Magical Christmas until December 31, 2006.
In celebration of this jolly season, all restaurants at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel and the Disney's Hollywood Hotel invite guests to feast on fun and the special festive menu offerings ranging from traditional three-course meals, sumptuous buffets and on-the-go snacks.
Christmas Treats and Tempting Menus at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel
The elegant Enchanted Garden Restaurant, where Disney characters often drop by, tempts guests with a "Traditional Christmas Buffet", a delightful buffet featuring a wide selection of Christmas dishes ranging from roast turkey to mince meat pies, Christmas log cakes and gingerbread cookies. Dishes are inspired by Western culinary traditions that the season brings, and served in a casual setting.
Located in the spacious lobby area with spectacular floor to ceiling windows, the Grand Salon and Sorcerer's Lounge present "Festive Season High Tea" (during weekdays) and a "Festive Season Afternoon Tea Buffet" (weekends and public holidays). Guests can enjoy a leisurely afternoon, at either of the venues while overlooking the lush gardens and the South China Sea, also at the same time enjoy the relaxing music performed by the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel Live Band.
The Crystal Lotus, the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel's signature Chinese restaurant, welcomes the cooler weather with an eight-course "Winter Set Dinner" from December 1-22 and a "Special Chinese Set Menu" available on December 23-25 and 31.
Disney's Hollywood Hotel
At Disney's Hollywood Hotel, served at the lively Chef Mickey Restaurant will be the "Christmas Carol Buffet" until December 31, offering a fabulous selection of international favorites ranging from Japanese flavored Seared Tuna & Salmon with Wasabi Dressing, Chinese Steamed Grouper with Ham Sauce, to the traditional Christmas highlight - Roasted Turkey served with Cranberry Sauce and Red Wine Sauce.
Located just off the main lobby, the Studio Lounge presents a "Christmas Dinner Set Menu" with a four-course meal, including a mouthwatering appetizer, soup, as well as a Christmas-inspired main course and dessert.
Hollywood and Dine will also be offering light and festive meals, including a selection of turkey dishes.
Fun-filled Holiday Season with Kid's Activities
Both Hong Kong Disneyland Hotels will complement the range of festive dining with fun-filled arts and crafts activities that will allow younger guests to exercise their creativity.
A highlight of the two hotels' festivities will be Let's Party where guests will learn how to create decorative and magical Christmas presents at the Arts & Crafts Workshop. From creating festive Christmas cards, to sparkling gift boxes, guests can fully play on their creativity to design something unique and magical for this Christmas!
Younger guests can also dress up as Santa Claus in Santa's Training Workshop, where they will be taught how to greet, laugh and sing like Santa Claus. And, to become a professional Santa, guests will have to pass a series of challenges. Upon completion of the training workshop, a special certificate will be awarded for their hard work.
Young and aspiring chefs have an opportunity to attend Christmas Home Decoration on Your Own where they can participate in making Christmas cookies, gingerbread houses and other traditional festive goodies as surprise treats for their parents.
Victorian Spa
While young guests enjoy their time at the Christmas workshops, mums and dads can indulge in rejuvenating spa treatments or make use of the state-of-the-art facilities including saunas, steam rooms, jacuzzis, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, a fully-equipped gymnasium and relaxation areas. For a touch of Christmas fun, young guests can also have their face painted in a variety of vibrant designs.
Exclusive Holiday Offers
"Holiday at Home" (holders of a Hong Kong Identity Card can enjoy a 25% discount off hotel accommodation until December 20, 2006) and "Stay and Play for 2 Days" (two days' admission to the Park for the price of one until December 21, 2006), these offers add more magic for guests to fully immerse themselves into the festive season with more flexibility and fun.
Holders of an Annual Pass benefit from exclusive offers of 35% and 20% off hotel accommodation and dining respectively until December 19, 2006.
Mickey's 2007 Countdown Party!
The Hong Kong Disneyland Resort will provide the perfect backdrop for celebrating the New Year as the Park transforms into a giant dance floor with a 20-piece band and DJs spinning party tunes to ensure a night to remember.
Mickey and his pals will lead the count down on stage at midnight while a dazzling pyrotechnic display will illuminate the night's sky in a kaleidoscope of color. More food, more drink and more shopping will delight guests as the Park stays open until 12:30am.
