Hong Kong Disneyland Celebrates
A Magical Christmas with Fun & Musical "D-Cards"
(HONG KONG, December 11, 2006) - People around the world can share in the spirit of Hong Kong Disneyland's A Magical Christmas this year with a personalized and interactive online holiday "D-card" (Disney card) featuring Mickey and his pals against the winter wonderland backdrop of Main Street, U.S.A.
Visitors to our website are invited to swing into the holiday spirit by simply clicking on the D-card icon to design their own special snow-capped greeting that is available in English, traditional and simplified Chinese.
Budding designers can choose from two interactive and vibrant designs: a towering Christmas tree on Main Street, U.S.A, or the Christmas sleigh float that stars in Mickey's Sing-a-Long Tree Lighting Show every evening at Hong Kong Disneyland Park.
D-Card designers can adorn the towering Christmas tree themselves or enlist the help of Goofy, who is in his Santa outfit, using a host of colorful Disney-inspired ornaments and stars on Main Street, U.S.A, while completing the scene are presents for under the tree.
Those with a musical ear will adore the Christmas sleigh design where Disney characters - Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto or Chip 'n' Dale can be selected to sit atop the vibrant sleigh while a Christmas carol of choice is played. Carols include, "We wish you a merry Christmas", "Jingle Bells" and "Deck the Halls" and are sure to be enjoyed by the recipient.
"The holiday greeting D-card is a way for our guests to send their warmest greetings to their beloved friends and family, and we hope that the D-card will connect people from all over the world during this joyful festival," said Susan Chan, Director of Publicity of Hong Kong Disneyland.
Visitors can also download a collection of festive desktop calendars featuring Mickey Mouse and his pals from the website to add more cheer and fun to special dates and occasions all year round.
