Mickey & Minnie Get Ready for
Hong Kong's Hottest New Year's Eve Party
More Magic, More Music, More Fun - only at Hong Kong Disneyland!
(HONG KONG, December 28, 2006) - Disney's most popular duo, Mickey and Minnie, make final preparations for "Mickey's 2007 Countdown Party", with Minnie giving Mickey's bow tie one final check in the run-up to Hong Kong's hottest New Year's Eve Party, which promises a dazzling night of live entertainment and DJs spinning the latest tunes until 12:30am.
The theme park, set to transform into the city's largest outdoor dance floor, will welcome in the New Year with a festive countdown stage show featuring Mickey Mouse and a 20-piece big band set against an illuminated Sleeping Beauty Castle. At the stroke of midnight a vibrant pyrotechnics display will paint the night sky as the sounds of traditional New Year song, "Auld Lang Syne", plays throughout the park. The operating hours of the merchandise stores and dining outlets will also extend for guests' dining and shopping enjoyment .
"Mickey's 2007 Countdown Party" will welcome 2007 on Sunday, December 31 from 9:30pm until 12:30am. The party and the Disney-style entertainment are included in the regular price of admission.
Guests can also enjoy New Year's Eve music and countdown celebrations at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel and Disney's Hollywood Hotel. A special dinner buffet at Cinderella Grand Ballroom priced at HK$398 (plus 10% service charge) per person will be available on December 30 and New Year's Eve to sweeten the magical moment with wide selection of cuisines available. Buffets or special menus will also be available at the hotels' themed restaurants, where Premium Annual Passholders can dine and enjoy a 20% discount. For reservation, pls call 3510 6000.
