Hong Kong Disneyland Resort to Distribute Free Tickets for the 2008 Little League Asia Pacific Tournament
(HONG KONG, July 15, 2008) - Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is distributing free tickets for admission to the upcoming 2008 Little League Asia Pacific Tournament. Members of the public are invited to collect their tickets (six per person) from the Hong Kong Disneyland Ticket Express Counter at the Hong Kong MTR Station.
This is the third consecutive year in which the Little League Asia Pacific has chosen the Resort as the venue for this exciting tournament. 12 teams from across the Asia Pacific region will compete at the Resort's two baseball fields from July 19 to July 24, 2008.
A host of nations are represented at this year's tournament, including Australia, Chinese Taipei, Guam, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Mariana Islands, New Zealand, Peoples' Republic of China (PRC), Philippines and Thailand. The winning team will advance to the Little League World Series to be held in Williamsport, Pennsylvania (USA).
The Tournament's opening ceremony will start at 10:00 on July 19, after which the competition amongst the 12 countries and regions will take center stage.
Six games will be held on the first day, July 19 at 10:30, 13:00 and 15:30; on the No.1 and No.2 fields. After that, games will be held at 09:00 or 10:00 daily until July 23.
The Tournament will culminate on July 24 with a game to decide third place being held at 10:00, followed by the Final at 13:00. The closing ceremony will then wrap up the week-long event.
Tickets for all games during the Tournament are free-of-charge to the public and are now available from the Hong Kong Disneyland Ticket Express Counter at the Hong Kong MTR Station. Each person can obtain up to six tournament tickets per day. Group tickets are available through the Hong Kong Little League office. For enquires, please call the hotline: 2504 4007.
During the Tournament, Hong Kong Disneyland will provide free shuttle buses to and from the Disneyland MTR station. Further details of the shuttle service will be provided on collection of Tournament tickets.
