Inclement weather

Q: Will the event be cancelled under inclement weather?
A: The Event will be cancelled if tropical cyclone warning signal no.3 or above, and/or red or black rainstorm signal is hoisted by the Hong Kong Observatory at 3:00 AM on the date of the Event. Please pay special attention to the weather report the night before the Event as it will indicate whether tropical cyclone warning signals or red or black rainstorm signals are likely to be hoisted in around the next 16-hour period. Please also follow the updates on the Event official website regarding the status of the Event from 3:00 AM onwards. The Organizer reserves the right to cancel the Event without compensation or refund of entry fees in case of inclement weather as determined by the Organizer in its sole judgment, even though such signals are not hoisted.

General Question

Q: Are there awards / prizes for all races / categories?
A: Awards / Prizes are set for the “The Incredibles 10K – race” only.

Q: Where are the Start and Finish lines?
A: The Start and Finish lines are located at Hong Kong Disneyland Coach Park.

Q: Would there be special transportation arrangements on the morning of the Race Day?
A: Special bus services will be arranged for the participants of “The Incredibles 10K” race on November 4 ONLY as the starting time is 7:00 AM & 7:15 AM The fare is HK$50 per person (same fare for Adult and Child).

Q: Why is there no special bus service on November 3?
A: The earliest race on November 3 – Monsters University 5K – starts at 7:30 AM The Disneyland Resort MTR line and R8 bus will start operating at 6:15 AM and 6:00 AM respectively.

Q: What if I start in the wrong race?
A: Participants should start in the designated race. Participants who start in the wrong race/ time will not be issued results, event medals and finishing certificates.

Q: What if I cannot participate after I have registered?
A: The entry fee includes event T-shirt and event running bib. Entry fee is non-refundable and all race entries are not transferable.

Q: What does the enrollment fee cover?
A: The enrollment fee of the 10K/5K/3K races includes event T-shirt, event running bib, event medal and finishing certificate for each participant who completes the race. A portion of the route is set inside the Park, and participants may be able to see different Disney Characters.

Q: Where would I find the Disney Characters during the event?
A: You will be able to experience different Disney elements and see Disney Characters along the route in the Park.

Q: Can I take photos with all the Disney Characters?
A: As the duration for each race is limited (10K-2.5hrs/5K-2hrs/3k-1.5hrs), and different Characters will appear along the route within the Park. It is up to participants’ own decision if they want to take photos with Disney Characters along the route.

Q: If participants stop to take photos during the race, how is the safety along the route managed?
A: Officials will be deployed along the routes to direct runners. Additional officials will be deployed at certain prime locations where runners are more likely to stop for photos in order to ensure a smooth flow along the route and provide assistance to the runners.

Q: Is the race covered by any insurance?
A: Public Liability Insurance is covered by the Organizer. Participants are advised to arrange their personal or other insurance policies separately, if needed. The Organizer suggests participants to conduct a body check before entering the race and also consider the race distances before enrolling. If you are concerned about your health, please consult a doctor before taking part in the race.

Q: When can Spectator Ticket holders enter the Park? Are there any designated areas in the Park for spectators to gather?
A: Spectators can enter the park at 7:30 AM on November 3 or 4, and cheer on the runners in the designated “Cheering Zone” inside the park. If a Guest does not have a Spectator Ticket, they can cheer for runners outside the park.

Q: Can holders of “Spectator Tickets” stay within the Park after the event?
A: Spectators are free to leave/re-enter the Park at any time during the operating hours. If a Spectator plans to leave and re-enter the Park, please have your hand stamped as you exit. To re-enter the Park, the Spectator must present his/her hand stamp and a Park ticket.

Q: Can the Spectator Ticket be upgraded to Magic Access Membership?
A: On the date of entry to the Park only, Guests may upgrade a Spectator Ticket to a Magic Access Membership simply by paying the price difference at the Magic Access Member Service Center in the Park. Any Magic Access Membership issued upon upgrade will be valid for one year starting from the date when the Spectator Ticket was used. No upgrade will be possible after the day when the Spectator Ticket is used. The upgrade option is subject to terms and conditions of Magic Access Membership.

Q: Can the runners enter into the park after the race?
A: Participants must present a park ticket for entry into the park during the park operating hours.

Q: What are the starting times for the races?
A: Races on November 3 start at 7:30 AM
     Races on November 4 start at 7:00 AM

Q: Will there be a runner’s pack for participants? When can participants pick up the pack? Will the event T-shirts fit both adults?
A: Each participant will receive a runner’s pack*, which includes “Hong Kong Disneyland 10K Weekend 2018 - Presented by AIA Vitality” event T-shirt and a themed running bib.

Participants who have successfully registered should collect their runner’s pack in Podium Wing QR, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hung Hom on October 20 or 21 at 11:00AM-7:00PM, OR, in Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel (Level 1) – King Stefan on October 31, November 1, 2 or 3 at 1:00PM-8:00PM.

Event T-shirts are available in different sizes and the participants can select a size when registering online.

Registration

Q: How can I register for “Hong Kong Disneyland 10K Weekend 2018 - Presented by AIA Vitality”?
A: All registrations should be made online at the Hong Kong Disneyland website from 10 AM on Jun 28. Instant confirmation of payment and registration will be provided during online registration.

Q: Are there age limits for “Hong Kong Disneyland 10K Weekend 2018 - Presented by AIA Vitality”?
A: “Mickey & Friends Kids Races” is suitable for children aged 5 or below.

“Toy Story 3K” is suitable for participant aged 3 or above; a participant who is aged below 12 has to be accompanied by and Accompanying Participant aged 18 or above.

“Monsters University 5K” is suitable for those aged 14 or above

“The Incredibles 10K” is suitable for those aged 16 or above.

Q: If a participant has not yet reached the upper age limit for a particular race on race day, could he/she participate in the race group?
A: If a participant has not yet reached the upper age limit for a particular race on race day, he/she can participate. For example, if a child is not yet 6 on race day, he/she could participate in the “Mickey & Friends Kids Races” as the age limit for this race is aged 5 or below.

Q: What should I do if I have applied but have not received a confirmation?
A: A confirmation message will be shown on your device once your registration is successfully completed. In the meantime, a confirmation email will be sent to you after the registration. If you experience system errors or have not received any of the above, please call us at (852) 3550 1188 to inquire.

Q: If the booking for Toy Story 3K Run is full, are there alternative ways I can register for my friends/family members?
A: As a safety precaution and the interest of creating the best experience for participants, quota limits are placed on every race event, on a first-come-first-served basis.

Q: Can I change my T-shirt size and email address after registering?
A: If you would like to change your T-shirt size and email address, please contact us at +852 3550 1188.

Magic Access members’ information

Q: What benefits are Magic Access Members entitled to?
A: Magic Access members can enjoy Early Bird discounted offer for registration. Quotas are limited and available on first-come-first-served basis.

Q: Can Magic Access Members enter the “Cheering Zone” inside the Park?
A: Magic Access Platinum and Gold Members are eligible to enter the Park between 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM on November 3 or 4 by presenting his/her valid Membership Card. They can cheer for runners in the designated “Cheering Zone” inside the park.

Clothing and related guidelines

Q: Any clothing guidelines for the event day?
A: Please put on proper sportswear and running shoes. Remember to display the bib (with the timing chip) on your chest in a clearly visible manner at all times during the race to enable race officials to identify your race number.

Q: Can participants dress up as Disney Character?
A: Yes, you may but please adhere to the following Rules & Regulations.
  • Costumes must be family-friendly and may not be obstructive, offensive, objectionable or violent.
  • Guests who dress like Characters may not pose for pictures or sign autographs for other Guests.
  • Costumes may not drag on the ground.
  • Costumes may not contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another Guest.
  • Costumes may not contain any weapons which resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.
  • Guests who do not adhere to these guidelines may be refused entry into, and/or removed from, a race or any race-related activities unless his or her costume can be modified to meet the above standards.
  • The number bib must be clearly displayed in front of the chest.
  • Certain accessories, such as full-face masks and helmets, must be removed before taking photos with Disney Characters.
  • For everyone’s safety, masks must provide unobstructed peripheral vision at all times with opening that allow the eyes to be fully seen when worn by guests.
