As the best representative of the Year of the Mouse, Mickey Mouse has put a lot of effort into decorating the park for the new year. To ensure Hong Kong Disneyland is bursting with joy, he’s put up Mickey-shaped Fai Chun decorations, banners and pendants all around the park. Even the plants have been pruned to feature Mickey ears! The Disneyland Band and selected musical acts at the Disneyland Hotel will play Chinese New Year-themed songs in their sets in celebration of the Year of the Mouse!! What’s more, there are red packets for every Guest to bring them good tidings filled with love and fortune! From January 25 to 29, Guests can receive a newly designed Mickey-themed red packet that contains a chocolate gold coin and a dining and merchandise coupon (while stock lasts).
From January 25 to 27, take a walking tour on “Mickey’s Lucky Trail” to visit nine spots in the park filled with good luck to collect blessings for the new year. You can also get a chance to get two special seasonal stickers of Mickey and Minnie!
Chinese New Year is the best time for gatherings and reunions with friends and family! Mickey and his friends are on hand to wish you a Happy New Year filled with good fortune and happiness! Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Chip ‘n’ Dale will all appear with their festive Chinese New Year attire, while Duffy, ShellieMay, CookieAnn, StellaLou and Gelatoni will also meet Guests in their glimmering Chinese New Year outfits.
God of Fortune Goofy is also appearing at The Annex on Main Street, U.S.A. Come say “Kung Hei Fat Choi” for extra prosperity in the year ahead.

Feast on the mouthwatering “Lo Hei” — which stands for good luck and prosperity — at the Main Street Corner Cafe Hosted by Coca-Cola®. Enjoy a little bit of sweetness at the newly launched Midtown Delights with their ice cream selections of Hokkaido 5.0 milk and Royal Chocolate.
Or head to Main Street Bakery to try the “Duffy Golden Burger” or “Mickey Golden Lava Custard Bun” for abundant wealth this year. You can also indulge in the “Chinese New Year Platter” at Studio Lounge at Disney’s Hollywood Hotel for extra good fortune. Crystal Lotus at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel is also offering the “Full House of Golden Treasures Dinner Set” featuring nine incredible dishes. Last but not least, the World of Color Restaurant at Disney Explorers Lodge is presenting the “Golden House” dish to wish you and your family good fortune.
During Chinese New Year, shops across the park will launch 56 Chinese New Year-themed gifts to celebrate the season, including plush toys, red packets, Fai Chun decorations, and all-new apparel. The Mickey and Minnie plush toys in their traditional Chinese outfits are a classic gift choice to celebrate the holidays. Tsum Tsum plush toys are also definitely must-haves for fans.
Guests can join the themed arts and crafts activities as well as a Mickey-themed handicraft-making session. From January 25 to 29, hotel-staying Guests will receive a Mickey-shaped red packet filled with love and fortune. Guests staying in the Disney Suites can enjoy a special Mickey-shaped Chinese New Year candy box prepared by the hotel.
