IRON MAN (TONY STARK)
Tony Stark is (in his own words) a genius,
billionaire, playboy philanthropist. He
became the super hero known as Iron Man
after he designed and built an armored suit
from scrap metal and spare weapons parts
in order to escape the cave and terrorist
stronghold where he was being held captive.
After the incident, Tony Stark quit
manufacturing high-tech weaponry for the
U.S. military and focused all his efforts and
technological advancements on defending innocent people from the world’s greatest
threats. This led him to join the super hero group known as The Avengers and serve as
a consultant to the peacekeeping intelligence agency S.H.I.E.L.D.
In addition to saving the world, Tony Stark takes great pride in his inventions and the
great strides Stark Industries has made in the realm of high-tech innovation. This
is one way in which he was like his father, Howard Stark—a legendary inventor and
innovator ahead of his time, founder of Stark Industries, and creator of the original
Stark Expo.

FUN FACTS
The reason why the Expo Edition Iron Wing is labeled the Mark VIII is because the number 8
has long been regarded as the luckiest number in Chinese culture. With pronunciation of “Ba” in
Chinese, the number 8 sounds similar to the word “Fa”, which means to make a fortune.
