The Lucky Nugget Saloon offers
a little bit of civilized refreshment
                                                to both local prospectors and
                                                visitors of Grizzly Gulch. Like
many of the saloons of the time, it
is located in the same building as
                                                a hotel—the Gold Dust Hotel—and
it welcomes all visitors with “Wild
                                                West hospitality.” The saloon is
well known in these parts for its
“libations and tasty grub,” and all
                                                delicious items are proudly listed
on wooden menu boards that flank the casual walk-up counter on the building’s
exterior. The Lucky Nugget Saloon offers hearty food like Fish and Chips or
          Shrimp and Chips.

In the early days of Grizzly Gulch,
          this little outfitters wagon was
          the only place where prospectors
          could buy gold-panning
          equipment and other necessities.
One of the men who worked at
          the Big Grizzly Mountain Mining
          Company started carving little
          wooden bears out of wood
scraps and offering them for sale
          there, and those collectibles were
an instant hit with the citizens
of Grizzly Gulch. The wooden bears are still proudly displayed and sold, but in
addition visitors will now find all manner of fun souvenirs and “gold” trinkets.

                     FUN FACT
The town of Grizzly Gulch is inspired by authentic California
Gold Rush towns. Walt Disney Imagineers traveled throughout
California’s Gold Rush country, along the famous Route 49
highway, to research the environment and storytelling of Grizzly
           Gulch.
