DISNEY’S WORLD OF PHYSICS (S.1 TO S.6)

Discover the vast world of physics on a whole new interactive level in Hong Kong Disneyland. Students
understand how science and creativity come together in the design of our most thrilling attractions.
Through various experiments, their minds can be enlightened at the same time.

Learning Objectives
Learn about “Newton’s 1 Law of Motion”

Understand the relationship between “friction”, “inertia”, “kinetic energy” and “potential energy”
through the ride experience of “Hyperspace Mountain”*
Design a roller-coaster and discuss factors that may influence its design
Learn about “Pneumatics”
Understand the power of compressed air through the ride experience of “Orbitron”*
Learn about the properties of light
Experience “Iron Man Experience”* to see how light and sound create an attraction appealing to
many senses
Learn the properties of sound and “binaural sound”

Assembly Location Hong Kong Disneyland Main Entrance
Student Capacity/ Group 15 – 18 students/ group

Assembly Time Morning session: 10 a.m.
