Getting To Hong Kong

The city of Hong Kong is a very popular travel and vacation destination, welcoming visitors from all over the world. Hong Kong is accessible by a variety of types of transportation.  

Hong Kong International Airport is located right on Lantau Island near Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. By train it takes only 33 minutes to reach the Park!

Mass Transit Railway (MTR) Trains are available to Guests traveling from the Hong Kong International Airport and from China.  Check the MTR website for information regarding travel to and from China.

Those driving to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort may need road directions and parking information. 

Cross-border buses come directly from Huanggang to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.

Getting Around Hong Kong

Getting around Hong Kong is easy using various modes of transport, including the MTR, bus, ferry and taxi. 

Once you arrive at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, free shuttle buses are available between the Disney hotels and the Park. 


The official currency in Hong Kong is the Hong Kong dollar (HK$). Exchange services are widely available in the city.

Currencies and Services in Hong Kong Disneyland Resort

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort accepts both Hong Kong dollars and Renminbi.

Exchange services (both buying and selling) are available for most foreign currencies in the Guest Relations windows at the main entrance of the Park, as well as inside the Park at City Hall. Hotel Guests can also exchange currency at the Front Desk of Disney hotels.

Exchange rates often fluctuate and are based on current market rates.
