Guide Dogs and Service Dogs

Multiple locations in Hong Kong Disneyland Parks
We welcome guests with their guide dogs, guide dogs-in-training and service dogs (collectively, “Dogs”) throughout Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. Please explore the details below for guidelines on visiting with your “Dogs”.

Overview

  • Guide dogs and guide dogs-in-training are dogs that are trained to perform tasks for persons with visual impairments. The trained guide dogs are equipped with harness for identification, whereas the guide dogs-in-training wear jacket and/or vest.
  • Service dogs are dogs that are trained to do work or perform tasks for, and to assist, a person with a disability. Service dogs are required to be equipped with harness or service attire at all times for identification, and remain on a leash of not more than 1.5 m in length and be under the control of the owner at all times during their visit. A service dog placed in a dog carrier bag or stroller must at the same time be securely leashed.
  • Cast members are unable to handle or take control of “Dogs”.
  • “Dogs” must be housebroken, and are required to behave and not bark, growl, jump up on or lunge at other guests, cast members or “Dogs”. Corrective action must be taken by the owners if the “Dogs” are not behaving appropriately.
  • Each guest may bring not more than two “Dogs”.

Certification and Documentation

Guests may only bring “Dogs” which have been accredited by the following organizations or their accredited members:

“Dogs” accredited by the above organizations are recognized for meeting established international training and behavior standards.

Visiting Hong Kong Disneyland Park

Before your visit

If you plan to visit Hong Kong Disneyland Park with guide dogs, guide dogs-in-training and service dogs (collectively, “Dogs”), to ensure your visit is smooth and enjoyable, you are advised to contact our Guest Relations at least 7 days in advance and provide (1) a copy of the valid dog license issued by the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (“AFCD”) of the Hong Kong SAR Government (for a disability assistance dog imported from countries/places outside of Hong Kong, please provide a Special Permit issued by AFCD) and (2) a copy of the valid certificate of the “Dogs” issued by one of the recognized accredited organizations mentioned above for inspection.

Once we have verified the documentation provided by you, we will send you a confirmation by email.

We reserve our rights to deny admission of “Dogs” which have not been accredited by a recognized accredited organization mentioned above.

On the day of visit

Please visit the Guest Service Window at the Main Entrance and present the verified documentation of the Dog and the confirmation email issued by us for verification.

Attraction Boarding Requirements

“Dogs” are permitted to experience some attractions. They are required to be positioned on the floor of the vehicle, away from the vehicle opening.

Due to the nature of some attractions, “Dogs” may not be permitted to ride. Please ask a cast member about options for “Dogs” at restricted locations, including portable kennels and Rider Switch, which allows a guest to experience an attraction while another member of their party watches “Dogs”.

Please check with a cast member about boarding with your “Dogs”.

*Service dogs and guide dogs-in-training may not be permitted in special events.

Permitted Food and Beverage location

Trained guide dogs are welcome in all Food and Beverage locations in the Park.

Starting from 9 July 2026, guide dogs-in-training and service dogs are welcome in the following location in the Park:

  • Royal Banquet Hall

While on the premises, “Dogs” must remain on a leash at all times, and stay on the ground beside the dining table where their owners are seated, or be placed in a dog carrier bag or stroller beside the dining table where their owners are seated. “Dogs” are not allowed on any dining table or stay on chairs or benches at any time. They must not use any utensils provided on the premises. Guests bringing “Dogs” on the premises must strictly observe the Notes to Customers.

Relief Areas

We offer designated relief areas for “Dogs”. Owners must pick up the Dog’s waste, seal it tightly, dispose of it in a waste bin and leave the area clean. Please check with a cast member for Relief Areas below:

  • Back of house area of Animation Academy
  • Back of house area of Royal Banquet Hall

Visiting Resort Hotels

Guests can be accompanied by their guide dogs, guide dogs-in-training and service dogs (collectively, “Dogs”) in all common areas of the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, Disney Explorers Lodge and Disney’s Hollywood Hotel (each a “Resort Hotel”) except:

  • Swimming pools
  • Hot tubs
  • Steam rooms
  • Sauna rooms
  • Gym room

Before your visit

If you plan to visit a Resort Hotel with “Dogs”, to ensure your visit is smooth and enjoyable, you are advised to contact our Guest Relations at least 7 days in advance and provide (1) a copy of the valid dog license issued by AFCD (for a disability assistance dog imported from countries/places outside of Hong Kong, please provide a Special Permit issued by AFCD) and (2) a copy of the valid certificate of the “Dogs” issued by one of the recognized accredited organizations mentioned above for inspection.

Please visit the Bell Service Counter at a Resort Hotel and present the verified documentation of the “Dogs” and the confirmation email issued by us for verification.

Overnight Stays

Guests staying overnight in a Resort Hotel room may be accompanied by their “Dogs”. “Dogs” must not be left unattended in the hotel room at any time and must remain with their owner throughout the stay. The Resort Hotels will provide a water bowl, food bowl and floor rug for the “Dogs” in room at no additional charge. Guests are also welcome to bring their own. Additional hotel room guidelines may apply — please check with the hotel Front Desk upon check-in.

Dining

Trained guide dogs are welcome in all Food and Beverage locations in the Resort Hotels.

Starting from 9 July 2026, guide dogs-in-training and service dogs are welcome in the designated areas of the following Food and Beverage locations in the Resort Hotels:

Disney Explorers Lodge:

  • Chart Room Cafe
  • Dragon Wind
  • World of Color Restaurant

Disney’s Hollywood Hotel:

  • The Archivist
  • Ink & Plate

Please visit the podium at the restaurant and present the verified documentation of the “Dogs” and the confirmation email issued by us for inspection.

  • Backyard by West Wing Guest Room
  • Next to Luggage Room (For Lobby, Walt’s Cafe, Crystal Lotus)
  • Outdoor area near Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

Disney Explorers Lodge:

  • Asia Garden near West Wing Guest Room
  • South America Garden near East Wing Guest Room
  • Area outside of Dragon Wind
  • Area outside of World of Color

Disney’s Hollywood Hotel:

  • Backyard by East Wing Guest Room
  • Area next to Hollywood & Dine side entrance
  • Area outside of Ink and Plate and The Archivist
  • Area outside of Main Lobby & The Archivist

Hotel Shuttle Services

Guests may bring their “Dogs” on board the hotel shuttle buses. Upon boarding, guests are required to present the verified documentation of the “Dogs”, along with the confirmation email issued by the Resort, for inspection.

Please observe the following safety guidelines:

  • During the journey, “Dogs” must remain on a leash at all times and stay completely out of the aisle to allow other passengers and staff to move safely. They should remain seated on the ground or lying down at their owners’ feet or lap at all times.
  • The owner is responsible for taking care of and supervising the safety of themselves and their “Dogs” at all times, and properly controlling their “Dogs” to prevent their “Dogs” from getting lost or causing nuisance and harm to other passengers or “Dogs”.
  • Due to capacity, a maximum of 2 “Dogs” are permitted to be on board of a shuttle bus at any one time. Guests should wait in line patiently with their “Dogs” and get on and off the bus one by one.
  • In the event that the “Dogs” display disruptive or aggressive behaviour on board, the shuttle bus driver may request the owners and their “Dogs” to alight at the next safe stop.
  • Owners are solely responsible for any injuries, loss or death of their “Dogs” and/or injuries and/or damage caused by their “Dogs” to other persons, other “Dogs” and/or property and/or belongings during the journey.

Visiting Inspiration Lake Recreation Centre

Guests can be accompanied by their guide dogs, guide dogs-in-training and service dogs (collectively, “Dogs”) in all common areas of the Inspiration Lake Recreation Centre. Due to the nature of some facilities, “Dogs” may not be permitted to use certain facilities.

“Dogs” are not permitted to use the following facilities:

  • Pedal boats
  • Surrey bikes

On the day of visit

Please visit the Rental Service Counter at Inspiration Lake Recreation Centre and present the verified documentation of the “Dogs” for inspection.

Relief Areas

We offer designated relief areas for “Dogs”. Owners must pick up the Dog’s waste, seal it tightly, dispose of it in a waste bin and leave the area clean. Please check with a cast member for Relief Areas below:

  • At Boat Center side: Outside bike storage
  • At the far end of the Lake: Outside Guest toilet
